For residential installations, we typically complete within a two to four hour window for standard pieces, and we clean up completely before leaving. For commercial installations in active offices, we can work outside business hours — evenings and weekends — where access is available. We've completed hotel room console installations during scheduled refurbishment windows timed to the hour. Communication about what to expect during installation day is part of our pre-delivery process.
Our manufacturing warranty covers three years from delivery, encompassing defects in materials, joinery, and finish. It does not cover normal wear, damage from improper care, or moisture damage from improper environmental conditions — we're clear about what reasonable care expectations apply to solid wood furniture. In practice, manufacturing defects in our work are rare, but when they occur, we return, assess, and remedy without charge or argument. After three years, we remain available for service, maintenance, and refinishing at our standard rates.
Yes, and approximately half our console table commissions come through interior designer and architect specifications rather than direct client instruction. We have established working relationships with many of the UAE's significant residential and commercial design practices and have developed processes specifically suited to trade client workflows — including provision of detailed shop drawings for design team approval, samples and finish boards for client presentations, and scheduling coordination with other trades on fit-out projects. We have established relationships with timber suppliers across the UAE and can source on request from broader international networks. Common UAE market species — teak, walnut, white oak, mahogany, cherry, ash — we hold regularly. More unusual species require sourcing lead time that gets factored into the project timeline. Reclaimed and salvage timber is something we can work with where the client has specific pieces in mind, though we assess structural suitability carefully — not all reclaimed material is appropriate for furniture applications. We've built pieces using reclaimed teak from demolished Abu Dhabi building projects and salvaged railway sleeper oak — genuinely characterful results, though requiring more flexible design thinking.
Exact colour matching across time is honestly one of the more challenging aspects of solid wood furniture. Wood is a natural material and individual pieces of the same species can vary significantly in tone. Stain and finish formulations can also shift slightly between batches. When clients anticipate wanting matching pieces in the future — a common situation — we recommend documenting the finish formulation precisely at the first commission stage and retaining a sample board from the original project. This significantly improves matching accuracy at subsequent commissions. For clients undertaking a full property fit-out, commissioning all pieces simultaneously is the surest route to perfect colour consistency.
